The otter playground at Ferry Meadows in Peterborough will keep the kids happy for hours with water, sand, swings, slides and tunnels.
There’s plenty to do on a day out at Fineshade Woods, near Stamford. There are two great playgrounds, buggy-friendly walking trails, bike hire and the Top Lodge Cafe.
The Bythams Spinney is a lovely woodland play area with slides, swings, climbing frames, a zip wire, under 5 play equipment and plenty of space to run about it. All about 15 minutes from Stamford, and all free.
Make the most of these autumn days by taking the kids for a walk at one of Peterborough and Stamford’s parks or woodlands. And top it off with a slice of cake! Here are my 5 favourite walks with a cafe nearby.
Bourne Woods in Lincolnshire is lovely place to spend a couple of hours walking around spotting wildlife, collecting leaves or jumping in muddy puddles! It’s a great free day out for anyone with kids.
