Burghley House in Stamford is a great place to visit with children. Kids will enjoy a day out, running around in the acres of parkland, or perhaps having a splash about in the Gardens of Surprise.

The Bythams Spinney is a lovely woodland play area with slides, swings, climbing frames, a zip wire, under 5 play equipment and plenty of space to run about it. All about 15 minutes from Stamford, and all free.
