Belton House sits in 1300 acres of parkland, woodland and formal gardens, just outside of Grantham. Whether you want to relax, explore to discover more, there’s plenty to see when you visit. The house itself is a fine thing to see, with opulent decor, fine furnishings and an impressive portrait gallery. You can enjoy the house at your own pace, or join a guided tour. This year there are special opportunities to look behind the scenes at Belton House with ‘Meet the Experts’ tours and the ‘Upstairs Downstairs Servants Tour’ throughout the year. Find out more on the Belton House website.

There’s plenty for the kids as well. The outdoor adventure playground is the perfect place for the kids to let off steam. Have fun on slides, swings and zip wires or ride the miniature train through the woods and wave to everyone as you go by! And if it rains, head indoors to the Ride Cafe, where there is an indoor playground with towers, slides and ropewalks.  There’s also the Belton Button Bucks parent and toddler group every first and third Thursday of the month and the Wildlife Explorers Club the first Saturday of every month.

There are also lots of family events throughout the year, including holiday activities and seasonal trails.

This competition has now closed. Congratulations to Dawn Dixon who won.
